The Gauteng Provincial office of the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) cordially invites you to attend a dialogue under the theme “Kwanele: Communities united in preventing violence against women and children “The dialogue is conceived in the context of perpetual and continued onslaught on women and sexual molestation of children.
Violence against women and children is both human rights violation and public health problem affecting as many as 1 out of 3 women. It is also an extreme manifestation of gender inequality, targeting women and girls because of their perceived subordinate social status in society. It is against the backdrop of recent catalogues of horrors perpetrated against women and children that the CGE extends an invitation to your organisation not only to participate in the dialogue but also to explore action plans to address the pandemic.
