Chief of the South African Navy, Vice Admiral Johannes Mudimu will launch a Newsletter for the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) at the Naval Mess, Pretoria.
IONS is an initiative that seeks to increase maritime cooperation amongst navies of the states of the Indian Ocean Region by providing an open and inclusive forum for relevant maritime issues.
Vice Admiral Mudimu, the current chairperson for IONS will address issues related to maritime security in the Indian Ocean. Media representatives will be given an opportunity to interact with Chief of South African Navy and other stakeholders.
