Residents of Khuma, Tigane, Vaal Reefs, Jouberton and Kanana townships who were last week affected by the earth quake will receive food parcels, clothing, vegetables and hygiene packages from a disaster relief foundation, Gift of the Givers.
Working together with the North West Provincial Government, the foundation will deliver these items as its contribution towards alleviating physical and emotional suffering in the affected areas.
This delivery will be accepted by MEC for Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development, Ms Manketsi Tlhape, who is leading a government task team on this disaster project.
