Human Settlements Minister Connie September will launch the Nuwe Begin-Blue Downs housing project in Cape Town, Western Cape.
The project consists of 1 244 houses allocated to qualifying beneficiaries from Ward 92 and 19 in Khayelitsha, who were living in the wetlands, and those from the Greater Blue Downs and Mfuleni area.
There are 44 families that will receive houses through the Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme (FLISP) and the remaining homes will be delivered on completion of the project in the next financial year.
