Human Rights Commission hosts national investigative hearing on human rights violations in Khoisan communities, 25 to 26 Nov

The South African Human Rights Commission invites members of the media to a National Investigative Hearing on human rights violations in South African Khoisan communities.

Members of the media are invited to attend and report about the proceedings of this hearing.

The two day national hearing will be held as follows:

Date: 25 and 26 November 2015
Time: 8h00 – 16h00
Venue: SAHRC 4th Floor Main Boardroom, Forum 3 Braampark Office Park, 33 Hoofd Street, Braamfontein.

The national hearing is convened on the basis of complaints received by the South African Human Rights Commission from the Khoisan communities (Khoi, San, Nama, Griqua, Koranna) regarding access to basic services, land, and the constitutionality of the indigenous groups in South Africa.

Commissioner Dr. Danny Titus and other panel members including Commissioner Advocate Mohamed Shafie Ameermia will preside over the hearing.
