In an effort to address the quality of Health Care, Health Director-General (DG) Ms Precious Matsoso will open a two day Quality Seminar tomorrow on Tuesday, 20 to 21 November at Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
The purpose of the seminar is based on the future legislated functions of the Office of the Health Standards compliance, to provide guidance to hospital CEOs on compliance with quality standards and norms and relevant monitoring tools and to discuss the actions needed.
Hospital CEOs from all over the Country have been invited to the Seminar whereby the DG in her address will focus more on overview reports on Bill and Implications, Standards , and Norms and Regulations and Guidelines as part of the department’s efforts to improve competency levels, a move towards overhauling the health system in South Africa.
Among other aspects that the DG will address are as follows:
- Roles and needs of the CEO’s in achieving compliance.
- Quality Improvement
- Benchmarking of inspections results.
