The Honourable Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, Mr William Lubisi and the Honourable MEC for the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr Simon Skhosana will share the podium at the Legislature Sitting as they deliver their Policy and Budget Speeches for 2013/14.
The Policy and Budget Speech by the Speaker of the Legislature Mr SW Lubisi will outline the plans for the 2013/14 financial year. Speaker Lubisi will also outline the achievements, challenges faced during the past year and outline important developmental projects for this financial year.
During his speech MEC Skhosana will outline plans and programmes to continue with coordination and support of municipalities and the institution of traditional leadership. Some of the key focus areas of the speech will be amongst others support to municipalities to reach the province’s target of ensuring that all citizens have access to water by 2014, improving the administrative and financial capabilities of municipalities and actions supportive of human settlements outcomes and improving municipalities’ disaster management capacities.
