The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Blade Nzimande, MP, will officiate a sod-turning ceremony marking the commencement of the construction of a Skills Development Centre in Hlokozi, in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
The Department of Higher Education and Training is implementing a skills centre strategy focused on expanding skills development provision through centres that are rooted in communities which are far from mainstream post-school education and training opportunities.
Twelve (12) Skills Development Centres are being established and constructed by an entity of the Department, the Construction Sector Education and Training Authority (CETA). The Hlokozi Skills Development Centre is among those.
It is in light of this background that Minister Nzimande and the leadership of the Construction SETA, Ubuhlebezwe Municipality and Esayidi Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College will officiate in a sod-turning ceremony scheduled as follows:
Date: Monday, 7 April 2014
Time: 10h00
