Health Ministry to meet healthcare companies

The Deputy Minister of Health Dr Gwen Ramokgopa will tonight (Wednesday 26 March 2014) attend a meeting with healthcare companies at Aspen Pharmacare in Woodmead.

The purpose of the meeting will be to:

1. Build and enhance relationship between healthcare companies at a senior level and Government.

2. To listen to specific issues of concern thathealthcare companies wish to raise and see how these are best addressed.

3. To create a climate and environment where further companies would consider joining the Public Health Enhancement Fund, specifically in an area that would address the strengthening of medicine regulation and regulatory science in our country.

The meeting will be attended by CEOs and senior representatives from the following companies:

Ascendis, Roche, BMS, Litha, Eli Lilly, GSK Consumer, Novo-Nordisk, Abbott, Boehringer Ingelheim, Astra Zenecca, Mediscor, Sandoz, Hetero, Imperial Healthcare, Norgine, Aspen, Dischem, and Clicks.
