Health Minister to launch the National Strategic Plan for nurse education, training and practice

Journalists are invited to the launch of the National Strategic Plan for Nurse Education, Training and Practice aim at reconstructing and revitalising the nursing profession as part of department’s efforts to improve health outcomes.

The Strategic Plan is the brain child of the 2011 Nursing Summit, which culminated into a Nursing Compact, whose strong recommendation was to improve nursing education, training and practice in order to strengthen the role played by the nurses in achieving government’s vision of a long and healthy life for all South Africans.

The following people will attend the launch:

  • Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Health
  • Dr. Gwen Ramokgopa, Deputy Minister of Health
  • Ms Precious Matsoso, Director-General of National Department of Health
