Health hosts Ex-miners Compensation Outreach in Free State, 21 to 22 Sept

Ex-miners Compensation Outreach goes to Free State province 

Pretoria: The Departments of Health, Minerals Resources & Energy, Employment & Labour invite eligible former mine workers or their dependants around Lejweleleputswa District Municipality in the Free State, who didn't receive their pension and provident funds, or contracted occupational health diseases including Silicosis while working in the mines, to come forward and check if they have unclaimed social protection benefits due to them. 

The programme is part of government`s efforts to track, trace and pay the former mine workers or their dependants who qualify for compensation funds, and other benefits such as pension and provident funds. Up to date over million of rands have been paid out to qualifying beneficiaries. 
Details of the event are as follows: 

Date: 21 - 22 September 2023
Venue: Rand Mutual Hospital in Welkom, Free State
Time: 8:00 - 16:00
