Health Department opens eyes this Christmas

The Department of Health and Social Development will on Monday launch a Cataract Outreach Campaign that will open the eyes of more than 60 elderly persons in time for Christmas.

In its commitment to restoring sight to the people of Limpopo the department has partnered with a team of specialists from the University of the Free State.

The team of specialists will include the award-winning training and outreach veteran of the public sector also Head of Ophthalmology at the University of the Free State, Professor Andries Stulting.

The aim of the outreach is to do screening clinics and cataract surgery at Malamulele Hospital, where there is a great need for ophthalmological services.
