Government promotes South African Mining at 2015 Mining Indaba, 9 to 12 Feb

South Africa is ready to welcome delegates to the annual Investing in African Mining Indaba, taking place in Cape Town from 9 to 12 February 2015.

Led by the Department of Mineral Resources in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry and Brand South Africa, government will be promoting the country as a competitive investment destination of choice.

Mineral Resources Minister, Ngoako Ramatlhodi, will officially open the Indaba on 10 February 2015. This will be followed by an investment dialogue with Ministers Ramatlhodi and Davies that will focus on South Africa’s mining industry in relation to investment, innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.

Government and its stakeholders will also be showcasing investment opportunities at the South African Pavilion.  The Pavilion will also create a networking opportunity for investors and stakeholders in the mining industry.

Government’s activities are scheduled as follows:

Part 1: Cape Town ICC, Main Hall, 8h00 - Keynote address by Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi
Part 2: South African Pavilion, 8h30 Ministers - Walkabout at Exhibition Stalls
Part 3: Westin Hotel, Vasco Da Gama Board Room, 9h00 Media briefing
Part 4: Westin Hotel, Grand East Ballroom, 10h00 - Investment Dialogue.
