The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, General Bheki Cele, will address the meeting of the Eastern Cape Prevention of Stock Theft Forum in Queenstown, to deal decisively with the stock theft challenges that are crippling livestock farming in the province and the country in general.

The issues of rural safety are critical within the farming community, and therefore, dialogue and strategic engagements are equally imperative in addressing the challenges facing farmers and farm workers.
General Bheki Cele is expected to address issues pertaining to rural safety and the partnership and working relations between organised structures of agriculture and government, in particular, the SAPS as the custodian of rural safety.
