Commission for Gender Equality meets Isikhalo Samadoda to dialogue on their grievance letter
The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) received a letter of complaint from Isikhalo Samadoda National and Social Imbalances. The same letter was also sent to the Department of Justice and Correctional Services and the Presidency. The Commission has decided to convene a dialogue in order to engage this organisation on the issues raised.
Isikhalo is of the view that gender equality favours women at the expense of men. It is against that this background that CGE has convened a dialogue to deliberate on this issue. The CGE is of the view that gender equality should be promoted and supported by all South Africans irrespective of their sexes and sexual orientation.
This meeting would also be attended by organisations such as Sonke Gender Justice Network (SGJN), South African Men Action Group (SAMAG), Progressive Women Movement of South Africa (PWMSA), KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, KwaZulu-Natal Men’s Forum and Women Formations.
