Youth in Duduza empowered on career pathing and employment opportunities
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) has partnered with various institutions to host a Youth Career Expo on Wednesday, 4 July 2023 at the Duduza Multipurpose centre from 09:00, led by Hon Ntombi Megkwe; Speaker of the GPL. The Expo links directly to the objectives of taking the Legislature and Government to the people and reaffirms the public service’s commitment to upskilling and creating opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in the economy.
The expo is intended to equip the youth with the various types of careers available in different industries and sectors. Over and above this, the expo will offer the youth of Duduza an opportunity to engage with the various institutions exhibiting on career pathing and provide a networking opportunity with the Gauteng Provincial Government on skills and information required to access employment and opportunities in various departments of the Gauteng Provincial Government.
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will also be part of the expo to create awareness and register young people on the voter’s role leading to the 2024 general elections.
