The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) in commemoration of Heritage Day and in promoting nation building and social cohesion is planning to host a Heritage Day Breakfast themed “Reclaiming, Restoring and Celebrating our Heritage”. The event will give South African crafters, publishers and booksellers a platform to exhibit and sell their artwork.
The event will focus on using the living heritage as a vehicle to foster social cohesion, nation building, economic development, inclusive citizenship and an end to xenophobia and homophobia; raising awareness on the role played by struggle heroes; and promoting unity and diversity among the people of Gauteng.
