Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will deliver her Budget Vote speech for the 2013/ 2014 financial year at the Gauteng Legislature on Monday, 27 May 2013.
The overarching issues and topics that the Premier will be addressing in speech, include among others, how the allocated budget will oil the wheels of the Premier's Office in its quest to become more innovative and bold in executing its mandate – the mandate given by the majority of the voters in 2009 that was translated into a five-year strategic programme for Gauteng for the period to 2014.
Further, Premier Nomvula Mokonyane's speech will make special emphasis on the Gauteng Planning Commission and its functions; anti-corruption efforts and improving government's performance. The speech will also focus on issues of gender, youth and people with disabilities.
