The Honourable Deputy Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL), Uhuru Moiloa, invites Members of the Media to the official launch of the 'Sondela Campaign' which is planned to take place as follows:

Venue: Gauteng Provincial Legislature, Cnr President and Loveday Streets, Johannesburg CBD.
The purpose of the launch is to introduce the campaign to the people of Gauteng and create a platform for constructive engagement between different Stakeholders and partners.
Furthermore; it is intended to encourage citizens to construct collective identity and a sense of shared belonging through open dialogues and visual art to foster awareness on commonalities and values which the GPL thorough this campaign desire to embrace as a society.
The rollout of the Sondela campaign began on the 27th of February 2015 with an Open Dialogue, followed by an Art Exhibition on the 14th of March 2015.
The success of the campaign is dependent on the CRC’s ability to partner with organisations who share similar vision to ensure that many people as possible across the Gauteng Province. The CRC is a campaign that was envisioned by all Speakers of municipalities across the Province (the Gauteng Speakers' Forum) in partnership with GPL, aimed at encouraging patriotism and responsible citizenry.
The CRC has also partnered with the 'Valued Citizens Initiative' (VCI). This saw the birth of the 'SONDELA' campaign, which has also received the support of the National Department of Arts and Culture.
The campaign will focus on encouraging reconstruction of common identity as South Africans through dialogues and arts. The launch will see the unpacking of upcoming campaign programmes which will involve Gauteng Citizens from all ages and across the province.
