Non-communicable diseases are the leading causes of death and disease in the economically active populations. With success in the HIV and AIDS programmes, non-communicable diseases are becoming a dominant feature of health care needs and expenditures. Carry out these mobilisation activities is to increase the knowledge of information on, for an example, sexual and reproductive health, dangers of tobacco smoking, and high-risk pregnancies and develop the capacity of individuals to respond to them.
Some key programmes that will be promoted and provided include; HIV Counseling and Test, Tuberculosis screening and treatment, Cancer screening, distribution of condoms, prevention of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections, and counseling on the fixed dose combination for antiretroviral treatment.
