MEC for Health in Gauteng, Mr Hope Papo will honour more than 100 students who have successfully completed courses in a certification ceremony at Lebone College of Emergency Care in Gezina, Pretoria.
The 106 graduates will capacitate emergency service operations in the province. This will have a positive impact on service delivery within emergency medical services.
The recipients who have completed different courses in emergency care include 67 who completed a two year Emergency Care Technology course, 20 who have completed a nine months Critical Care Assistant course and 15 who have completed a four months Ambulance Emergency assistance course.
The only provincial training institution for emergency care workers, Lebone aims to become the industry leader in education, training and development of these health care professionals.
The college further aims to meet the unique needs of emergency services in Gauteng, ensuring that the province is ready to handle any medical emergency situation.
