Gauteng Government convenes inaugural Re Aga Mmogo Construction Expo for SMMEs, 15 Feb

The Gauteng Provincial Government will host the inaugural construction exhibition for construction businesses (SMME’s) owned by women, youth, persons with disabilities, and military veterans this coming Thursday 15 February 2024.

The Re Aga Mmogo Gauteng Construction Expo will bring public and private sector institutions together to introduce new business opportunities, business support, and skills development programmes to these targeted SMME’s operating in the construction and built environment sector.

The Expo will feature four pavilions representing government and public sector agencies, business, funding institutions as well as institutions of higher learning and professional bodies.

The Expo will serve as a strategic platform to address the ongoing inequalities, discrimination, and marginalisation of these SMME’s in the construction and built environment sector.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements and Infrastructure Development Lebogang Maile will address the plenary along with experts in the sector.
