2022 Integrated Public Service Month “Batho Pele Revitalisation – Walking the Talk”
Free State Office of the Premier will be hosting the Free State Provincial Government (FSPG) Integrated Public Service Month (IPSM) as part of the calendar of the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA).
IPSM is a service delivery improvement mechanism that annually reflects on the work of the Public service and celebrates the unwavering commitment of public servants throughout the country.
This year, marks the 25th anniversary of the Batho Pele white paper as a framework for the transformation of Public Service Delivery. Themed, “Batho Pele Revitalisation-walking the talk”, this year’s IPSM forms a clarion call to the country’s public servants to dedicate themselves and translate the Batho Pele Revitalisation strategy into tangible results for citizens.

As part of the Public Service Month, public servants are expected to:
- Roll up their sleeves and spring-clean their service delivery points;
- Visit schools, hospitals, police stations and courts, talk to citizens, mediate the delivery of services and getting things done;
- Unblock the bottlenecks and red-tape in the delivery of services;
- Ensure the systems and infrastructure are working and use public resources efficiently to the benefit of the citizens; and
- Recommit themselves to belong, to care and to serve the people.
