The Free State Legislature together with Vulamasango Alumni will host the 2015 16 June Youth Day Celebrations as part of Youth Month Programme. The Vulamasango Alumni comprises of former learners of the Vulamasango School who are committed to making a difference to improving the image of the school and the wellbeing of the learners. The Vulamasango has various standing programmes such as the Free Sanitary Towels Campaign and the Campaign to raise funds to build the School Hall.
The Free State Legislature identified the initiative as helpful towards our strategic goal of increasing the public interests the work of the Legislature, especially among the youth. Speaker of the Free State Legislature, Hon. Mamiki Qabathe will give the keynote address during the event.
All participants will converge at Ihobe Intermediate School and walk to Vulamasango High School with participants all wearing their school uniform to mark the importance of the day. The Speaker is also expected to be wearing a school uniform.
