Free State Arts and Culture hosts hoisting of MACUFE 20th anniversary flag, 6 Oct

The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation will officially unveil and hoist the MACUFE 20th Anniversary flag as part of the festival’s weeklong celebrations currently underway in the city of Mangaung.

MACUFE is one of the most popular cultural festivals on the African continent and this year the festival is celebrating a historical landmark of 20 years of existence. Since its first staging in 1997 this festival has grown from strength to strength and has undoubtedly reached international stature.

The official unveiling and hoisting of the MACUFE 20th Anniversary flag will take place as follows:

Venue: Corner of Berg Street & Nelson Mandela Drive

“The festival prides itself for the contribution it has made to the tourism and economic growth of the local economy over the 20 years of its existence. We look forward to build more on the success we have achieved through the staging of MACUFE over the past years.
