Fort Hare to confer honorary Doctorate on the Public Protector

An honorary Doctorate Degree will on Friday be conferred on Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela by the University of Fort Hare in East London, Eastern Cape.

The Doctor of Laws (LLD) honour will be bestowed during a graduation ceremony, which the Public Protector is also scheduled to address. Her speech will focus on “The Role of Law in Entrenching Democracy’’.

The event will be attended by, among others, Vice Chancellor of Fort Hare, Dr Mvuyo Tom, Deans of various faculties and religious representatives.
