In a quest to encourage people to lead healthy lifestyles, the Gauteng Department of Health will be embarking on prevention of injuries campaign tomorrow, 13 March 2013 at Weigh Bridge, Heidelberg Plaza.
The campaign, focusing on truck drivers aims to create awareness around the need for condom use, healthy lifestyles, prevention of injuries, deaths and spread of diseases.
The campaign is a joint venture with the Department of Community Safety and Traffic Management.
Health care workers will also on the day conduct health screenings such as blood pressure, glucose voluntary HIV testing, eye testing as well as distribute educational materials such as pamphlets and leaflets to truck drivers.
