Electoral Commission Takes Democracy to School Learners
The Electoral Commission of South Africa, in partnership with the Department of Basic Education, invites members of the media to the Gauteng National Launch of Schools Democracy Programme (SDP).
Keynote speakers are IEC Commissioner Mr Glen Mashinini and Minister of Basic Education, Ms Angie Motshekga, MP.
This partnership is aimed at encouraging and educating learners to participate in civic and democracy education as well as voter registration.

Time: 10h00 to 12h00
Venue: I.R. Lesolang Secondary School, Mabopane, Gauteng
Learners who are 16 years or older and have a valid South African identity document will be afforded an opportunity to register as voters.
