The Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements, Bonginkosi Madikizela, along with the Executive Mayor of Stellenbosch, Mr Conrad Sidego, will hand some of the 106 completed houses in the Watergang Housing Project, in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch Municipality, Western Cape on 24 May 2013.
Nine beneficiaries with special needs will be receiving houses tomorrow, along with wheelchair bound, 89 year old Lena Maasdorp, who was promised a house by Premier Helen Zille 2 years when she visited the area. Ms Maasdorp was also one of the fire victims at the recent fire in Zone O, Kayamandi.
The project is a multi-phase project, which when completed, will deliver 2000 units. 505 units were completed in 2011 as Phase 1, and the current 106 are part of Phase 2.

Directions: Turn into Kayamandi at the traffic lights on the R304, just before the bridge. AT the traffic circle turn right onto Masitandani Road. The road curves right, then left, then take the second road to the right, called Ndzawumbi Rd. Take the second left onto Luyolo Road, turn left at Makapula Rd them take the immediate right, and then go straight for another 250 metres, where you will see the development.
