Eastern Cape Social Development celebrates employment of 11 chef students, 11 Feb

Young people’s lives have been changed for the better

The Eastern Cape Department of Social Development is in celebration, we are proud to announce that 11 students from Stenden University-Port Alfred branch have been employed by the Stenden University as Chefs and the department has also secured a lucrative deal for the other 11 students.

The 22 students were selected from all over the province last year and they are from poor backgrounds. Their lives have now been changed for the better and this achievement will positively change their trajectory.

They were trained as Chefs for a period of one year. The main focus for this programme is on young people with a minimum of grade 12 qualification. The department is committed at providing entrepreneurs hip development programmes for young people of this province.

The department will then be celebrating with the students during their graduation ceremony which will take place on:
