The roll-out of “Thuma Mina for Building Safer Communities” at Ntselamanzi Township in Alice
The Department of Safety and Liaison will from the 16 to the 18 March 2019, roll-out a “Thuma Mina massive programme” at Ntselamanzi Township and University of Fort Hare in Alice.
The programme is linked to the Departmental Human Rights Day with the tacit aim to educate young people about crime related activities. The programme will mainly focus on a wide range of aspects, among others are the following:
Saturday: A door-to door campaign will be conducted at Ntselamanzi Township and Golf Course.
Sunday: Round table panel discussion will take place at the University of Fort Hare.
Monday: Dialogue by junior Commissioners will take place at the University of Fort Hare in Alice.
MEC Weziwe Tikana of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Mayor of Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality, Cllr Bandile Kethelo, Acting Head of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Mr Zukile Kani, Lieutenant-General Liziwe Ntsinga of the South African Police Service, and a host of other high profile figures will grace the occasion with their esteemed presence.
