The results of the 2014 General Elections ushered the 5th term of the democratic government. The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature shall therefore hold its first State of the Province Address (SOPA) for the fifth term.
It will be a matter of new brooms sweeping clean when the newly elected Speaker of the Legislature, Noxolo Kiviet welcomes the Premier of the Province; Phumulo Masualle, to the Legislature, to deliver his State of the Province Address. The Premier is expected to outline the government’s programme of action for the financial year and highlight provincial government’s achievements as South Africa celebrates 20 years of freedom and democracy.
The State of the Province Address shall take place at the Legislature grounds on Friday, 27 June 2014 at 10h00.
