The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature will afford the people of the Province an opportunity to participate in live debates during its annual Taking Legislature to the People. This Sectoral Parliament will be held in the Joe Gqabi District Municipality in an effort to deepen democracy, promote development and build a better life for all.
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend this four day long Sitting to interact with the Premier of the Province, Members of the Executive Council (MECs), and Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs) on issues affecting them.
The Honourable Speaker of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, MPL Noxolo Kiviet will preside over the Sitting; scheduled to take place as follows:

Venue: Gariep Local Municipality, Burgersdorp (Danie Craven Rugby Stadium)
Time: 10h00 daily
