MEC Tikana is stepping up school safety programme through OR Tambo Centenary celebrations
The Department of Safety and Liaison and the Department of Education will together host a school safety programme on the 13 October, 2017. This is a buildup programme towards the upcoming National OR Tambo Centenary Celebrations, which comes in the wake of a clarion call for the MEC to instill the values of OR Tambo in learners so that they could imitate and emulate his persona and character wherever they are.
Debate, drama, poetry and the like, will mark the significance of the massive programme on the day. The programme will be graced by the presence of Honourable MEC Weziwe Tikana of the Department of Safety and Liaison, and both the political and traditional leadership from within the area.
All members of the media fraternity are hereby invited to be part of this massive programme in order to get first-hand information from the political leadership. The details of the programme are as follows:
