The Eastern Cape Department of Education together with the Ilima Education Support will tomorrow the 22nd October 2015 be hosting a prayer session in support of Grade 12 learners at the Raymond Mhlaba Sports Stadium in the Port Elizabeth education district at 10h00.
The prayer meeting is meant to support the Matrics who will be starting examination on the 26th October 2015. ILIMA Education Support programme has been in partnership with the Department since 2011 giving motivation spiritually support to learners while also taking part in organising and overseeing the Grade 12 revision camps since then.
This provincial launch will then be cascaded to districts at the same time where clergy from interdenominational churches, their members and women of prayer will be wearing their church uniforms in honor of this day.
This prayer will also be attended by the community stakeholders, South African Police Services (SAPS) and matric learners from local schools.
The MEC for Education Mandla Makupula will be forming part of the prayer meeting and will be available for interviews together with Ilima Education Support representatives. The details of the event are as follows:
