In the past year South Africa experienced a dramatic increase in the number of strikes as compared to the previous four years with a very significant number of strike incidents recorded.
The Department of Labour Annual Industrial Action Report has been published and will be launched on this week Wednesday, 18 September 2012. The report reflects on strike activities for the year 2012 and makes a comparison on a number of issues that are discussed therein.
To obtain a further insight into the report, the Department of labour is inviting the media to the official launch of the Annual Industrial Action Report scheduled as follows:
