Address at commemoration of the Bisho Massacre
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the keynote address at the commemoration of the Bisho Massacre to be held at Bisho Stadium in the Eastern Cape tomorrow, Monday 7 September 2015 at 08h00.
During a protest march in 1992 to demand the reincorporation of the then Ciskei into South Africa during the final years of apartheid by African National Congress led supporters, 28 of them were shot dead by the then Ciskei Defence Force.
Opening address at the XIV World Forestry Congress
Deputy President Ramaphosa will then proceed to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, where he is scheduled to deliver an opening address at the XIV World Forestry Congress to be held at the iNkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre at 16h00.
The XIV World Forestry Congress is a platform for governments, the private sector, foresters, academics and the civil society to exchange views and innovations impacting on the broader forestry sector.
The Congress is an event of the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the theme for this year is “Forestry and People: investing in Sustainable future”.
