Deputy Minister Zou Kota-Fredericks celebrates Heritage Month in Dunoon, 26 Sept

The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Hon. Zou Kota will be hosting a heritage month celebration under the theme My Home, My Heritage on the 26 September in Dunoon, to engage communities on the value of being a home owner and building sustainable communities.

As South Africa celebrates heritage month under the theme Our indigenous knowledge, our heritage: Towards the identification, promotion and preservation of South Africa’s living heritage” the Deputy Minister will drive a consumer education campaign to create awareness on the value of government houses and the importance of a home as an asset to families.

The community will also engage on social challenges impacting the empowerment of women to encourage social dialogue between the three spheres of government and the importance of private, public, partnerships in building better and sustainable communities.

Various stakeholders and partners like NHBRC, EEAB, DHS, Old Mutual, Ned Bank, NFSAS will be exhibiting and empowering the community with knowledge and resources.
