Deputy Minister Thoko Xasa addresses National Tourism Career Expo, 1 Oct

Themed “Tourism: Alive with Opportunities”, National Tourism Career Expo (NTCE) will finally kick-off on Thursday the 1st of October 2015 after being launched on the 25 August 2015. The three day event programme is packed with activities to ensure that tourism is positioned as a valued and vibrant career of choice.

To set the NTCE in motion will be the Opening Ceremony where the guests will be addressed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms Thoko Xasa, Premier Ace Magashule. There will also be a gala dinner which will see MEC for Department of Economic Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs; Sam Mashinini talking to guests about the importance of tourism and its contribution to the economy of the country.

Some of interesting activities for young people at the expo will be an ongoing exhibition for the three days as well as Youth Business Zone where young people will be given an opportunity to present their business proposition to a panel of judges. Included in the programme is Virtual Class Room which is a recruitment arena for unemployed graduates and students dealing with tips on how to prepare to find a job including compiling a CV and preparing for an interview.
