Transport Deputy Minister visits North West University to engage with transport students
As part of youth month, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga, will visit the North West University Mahikeng Campus on Friday, 12 June 2015
The deputy Minister will be engaging in a round table dialogue with about seventy third year transport students on transport issues. The students are funded by the Department of Transport and are studying fields such as transport logistics and economics.
Topics to be covered for the dialogue will be as follows:
- How youth see transport moving forward
- Access to transport related opportunities
- Entrepreneurship within the world of transportation.
- Socio- economic challenges in relation to transport
Ms. Chikunga will be joined by the MEC of Public Works and Roads in North West Mr Madoda Sambatha, MEC of Community Safety and Transport Management Mr Gaoage Molapisi and North West University Mahikeng Campus Rector Dr. Mashudu Maselesele as well as senior national officials and various academics from the university.
