Annual Rotary Family Health Days Campaign
The Deputy Minister of Health Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo will on Wednesday, 8 November lead the annual Rotary Family Health Days campaign in Bloemfontein, Free State as part of collaborative efforts to take health services to the people, especially those travelling long distances to their nearest health facilities to access basic health services.
Deputy Minister Dhlomo will be accompanied by SANAC Executive Manager Rev Zwo Nevhutalu, Free State Health MEC Ms Nokwanje Leeto, the CEO of Rotary Action Group for Family Health and AIDS Prevention Ms Sue Paget, leaders of civil society, business and development partners.
The Rotary Family Health Days (RFHD) campaign is a public-private partnership between government, SANAC, Rotary International and various organisations aimed at bringing a comprehensive package of free primary and specialised health services to underserved and hard to reach communities across the country for three-consecutive days during the month of November every year.
The Deputy Minister will also use this opportunity to unveil the theme for 2023 World AIDS Day Campaign which serves to unite people in response to HIV and to show support for people living with HIV, while remembering those who have perished from AIDS-related illnesses.
