Deputy Minister Rejoice Mabudafhasi opens Isingqisethu Wild Coast Cultural Festival in Port St Johns, 6 Oct

Arts and Culture Deputy Minister, Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi, MP will officially open the Isingqisethu Wild Coast Cultural Festival on Friday, 06 November 2015 at the Port St Johns Sports Field in Eastern Cape.

The Isingqisethu Wild Coast Cultural Festival is organised by the Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture (DSRAC), in partnership with the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA), the House of Traditional Leaders (HTL) and Port St Johns Municipality.

Set in the beautiful Wild Coast, which is not only one of the Province’s most beautiful natural assets but also hugely significant from a conservation point of view with several endemic plant species found only in this area, Isingqisethu will feature traditional music, dance, fashion and food of the Eastern Cape in all its splendour. The festival will also be used to honour and to pay tribute to the late Saba Mbixane for his contribution to the promotion of South African traditional music.

Prior to the opening of the festival, the Deputy Minister will hoist the national flag at Thekwini Primary School on Thursday, 05 November 2015 at 07h30 and Jokwana Secondary School on Friday, 06 November 2015 at 07h30, in Mthalala village, Port St Johns.
