Deputy Minister Rejoice Mabudafhasi leads the National Book Week and participates at Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival, 9 to 11 Sep

Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Rejoice Mabudafhasi, MP, in partnership with the South African Book Development Council (SABDC) invite media to the National Book Week activities in Limpopo. The theme for this reading campaign is #Goingplaces #BuyaBook.

This campaign reflects the physical journey of the Bus Tour travelling throughout South Africa, as well as the magic of books and how reading books can both figuratively and literally take you places. Various publishers such as Pan Macmillan SA, Penguin Random House SA, and NB Publishers have offered discounted books that will be sold at a minimal cost of R20 in Bargain Books and Exclusive Books stores nationwide.

As September marks Heritage Month celebrations under the theme, “Our indigenous knowledge, our heritage: Towards the identification, promotion and preservation of South African’s living heritage,” the campaign will amongst others also seek to promote national identity and to enhance nation building and social cohesion.
