Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi to handover a mini bus to Siloe School for the Blind in Limpopo
The Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi, MP, will hand over a Mini Bus to Siloe School for the blind in Thokgwaneng Village, near Polokwane.
The Mini Bus handover forms part of the Back to School Campaign. This brand new Mini Bus was donated by Rand Water and Nissan BB Auto Polokwane. Deputy Minister Mabudafhasi adopted Siloe School for the Blind in honour of the world icon and father of our nation, the late Tata Mandela. The school caters for 150 blind, partially sighted and deaf-blind pupils, with 23 educators and 30 support staff.
Upon adoption of the school, Deputy Minister Mabudafhasi commissioned a needs assessment wherein it was established that the school is in dire need of several resources including a Mini Bus for transportation.
MEC for Education, Ms Dikeledi Magadzi and Executive Mayor of the City of Polokwane, Cllr. Freddy Greaver will join the Deputy Minister during the handover ceremony.
