Members of the media are invited to attend the official handover of a new Artificial Intelligence (AI), Coding and Robotics Laboratory at Khulile Primary School in Motherwell, Gqeberha, where the Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Dr Reginah Mhaule, will deliver the keynote address.

The laboratory, made possible through a partnership between Isuzu Motors South Africa (IMSAf) and Sifiso Learning Group, represents a significant investment in strengthening digital learning and preparing learners for the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Valued at just under R2 million, the state-of-the-art facility will provide learners with access to hands-on learning in artificial intelligence, coding, robotics, computational thinking and problem-solving. The initiative also includes SACE-endorsed professional development for teachers to support the effective integration of Coding and Robotics into classroom teaching.

The initiative aligns with the Department of Basic Education’s ongoing implementation of the Coding and Robotics Curriculum and reflects the shared commitment of government and the private sector to expanding equitable access to future-focused learning opportunities while preparing learners with the digital and critical thinking skills required for the future economy.
