Background
Through the graduations of twenty two (22) learners who acquired General Security Officers NQF Level 3 qualification, the EPWP continues to fulfill its mandate of alleviating poverty and unemployment through the provision of training and work opportunities.
The Bloemfontein Regional Office of the Department of Public Works has identified the General Security Officers Practice Learnership as one of the avenues in which the department can get involved in delivering the EPWP Social Sector work opportunities while addressing the need for delivery of security services in certain identified buildings managed by the Bloemfontein Regional Office.
The Deputy Minister will also visit Cee Jay Teleka Early Childhood Development Centre in Mangaung’s Phase 6 and dedicate the 67 minutes on activities such as painting, gardening and cleaning of the Centre as a symbol of assisting those in need and making a difference in their lives.
