Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana conducts monitoring and “Back To School Campaign” at schools in Harrismith, 25 Jan

Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Ms. Pinky Kekana, will, on Thursday 25 January 2024, conduct frontline monitoring and “Back To School Campaign” at four schools in Harrismith, under Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality in the Free State Province.

The “Back To School Campaign” is led by different sectors of society to motivate learners about the importance of education and promote collaboration amongst stake- holders in improving the education sector.

The Deputy Minister will be supported by officials from the Free State Department of Education and the local leadership to monitor and assess the state of readiness at identified schools, and ensure rapid intervention to challenges that may impact effective teaching and learning.
