Deputy Minister Patekile Holomisa opens Southern African Development Community Employment and Labour Tripartite Technical meeting, 16 Oct

Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa to open  the 1st Southern African Development Community (SADC) Employment and Labour Tripartite Technical meeting in East London on Monday, 16 October 2017

The First SADC Joint Tripartite Technical Meeting of Employment and Labour will convene in East London this coming Monday. Under the theme: “Horizon Decent Work – Advancing connectivity, coherence and inclusivity”, this will be the first major meeting that the Department of Labour will host on the occasion of a momentous year where South Africa proudly chairs both SADC and BRICS.

Delegates from sixteen SADC member countries and beyond will converge in East London’s Southern Sun Hemmingways Hotel for three days to deliberate issues relating to employment creation, SMME development, promotion of decent work and other developmental economic issues.

This Meeting will take place over a period of three days from the 16th, 17th and 18th October 2017.

Journalists are invited to the opening of this conference by South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Labour, Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa. The address will take place as follows:
