The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Pam Tshwete will lead a delegation of Deputy Ministers and MECs on an Eastern Cape service delivery outreach programme, focusing on Human Settlements and other service delivery outputs.
This programme was initiated in 2020 after the Deputy Minister’s visit to the communities of Coffee Bay and Thafalehashe, wherein the community raised issues around human settlements, education and poverty alleviation.
‘This time around we are not just coming to listen to the community, but also to provide solutions to some of the problems they raised on our last visit. This is why we are taking with us this strong team”, said Deputy Minister Tshwete.
The programme will be attended by Deputy Ministers for Basic Education and Agriculture Land Reform & Rural Development. Also expected to attend are MECs from provincial departments of Education and Rural Development Agrarian Reform.
