Deputy Minister Obed Bapela to deliver a keynote address during the launch of the commonwealth conference on education and training of youth workers

Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Obed Bapela will deliver a keynote address during the launch of the commonwealth conference on education and training of youth workers.

The South African Government, in partnership with the Commonwealth Africa Regional Centre, University of South Africa (UNISA) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will launch the international conference on Education and Training of Youth Workers.

The conference, to be held from 18 to 20 March 2013, will engage various public, private, academic and diplomatic stakeholders on the importance of capacity building for youth workers.

The launch will be held under the theme: “A reflection on the journey towards recognition of youth work as a profession”. It is aimed at creating awareness and engaging key stakeholders prior to the conference.
